    Scotland v England Hampden Park Glasgow 14th April 1956 1-1
     
  • Where was your first away match and details?

    England v Scotland Wembley Stadium London 15th April 1967 2-3
     
  • What was the best Scotland game you ever attended and why?

    England v Scotland Wembley Stadium 15th April 1967. England were World Champions, having won the World Cup in 1966. Scotland deservedly won 2-3 on the day.
     
  • Who was the best Scotland player you ever seen live and why?

    Jim Baxter. His command of midfield coupled with his ability to pass balls through to the front players made him a great player.
     
  • Who was your favourite Scotland Manager and why?

    Jock Stein. His great foresight to read games, make team changes and get results. His flair for attacking football, Jock Stein's policy was not to worry how many goals you lost, just score more than the opposition.
     
  • Who do you support in Club Football and Why?

    Aberdeen. I used to go with my brother to the New Year Derby, when Dundee were at home to Aberdeen, I fell out with him while crossing on the ferry from Newport. He was supporting Dundee, so I shouted for Aberdeen that day, and have done so ever since. That was in the mid 50's
     
  • What was your first Senior Football match and what was is like?

    St Johnstone against Dundee, sorry I cannot remember the exact year or score but it was in the early 50's
     
  • Who is the best Football Player you ever seen live and why?

    Bobby Charlton, Manchester United and England. His great ability to read a game, good dribbler, good pace an could score goals with both his head and his feet.

      I have a good breakfast, dress in kilt and Blackearnside shirt, scarf and Glengarry. Check hip flask is full, and also that the wallet is in the same condition. Visit to the pub before the bus and game.

      Unfortunately I do not make it to away matches now.

       
  • If you were hosting a dinner party and could invite three guest from the past or present who would they be and why?

      Great ambassador in world football. Also for being a Scotsman and the best manager ever at Aberdeen Football club.
       
  •  Who would you make serve you all hand and foot because they are your least favourite person and why?

    Sir Walter Raleigh
    For introducing tobacco to this country, to which I am still addicted.
     
  • What are your favourite foods both Domestic and Foreign?

    My favourite domestic food is roast beef with horseradish sauce, deep fried roast potatoes and baked beans.

    I do not like any foreign food at all.

    Single Malt Whisky

    Sir Francis Drake who was determined to finish his game of bowls before going to fight the Spanish Armada
